Marathon Training Week 5 of 23

Week five was "back to normal week" where I did all my workouts, and it has been good!

Milestone of the week: I've run over 100 miles since marathon training began on 24th May 2010

Highlight of the week: as I type this I'm in Bend, and my run this morning took me along the Deschutes River Trail.

Well hello there C.O.M. Glad I found your sight, I just started running and my Hubbs just started biking... we have grand Triathlon dreams... Settling for a 5K in Sept!

Hi Joy -- thanks for the comment!

That's great you & your Hubbs are getting into exercise more. If you read through some of my fitness archives you'll see I'm fairly new to it myself.

I've never been much of a swimmer but would like to learn someday, and maybe do a tri. What 5k are you running in Sept? If it is local maybe it would be fun to have a bunch of us Salemites bloggers all run it together.

Keith that is a great idea! I was shooting for Race for the Cure in Portland- but I think I am going to look for another 5K to sign up for shortly after that- lets do it! PS I have read threw a few of your "political" posts and I have to say two words: Rock on. Your heart is awesome. Ok, that's more than two words.
